February 22 – Managing Your Mood Group (Lindfield) 4.00pm -6.00pm

KYDS Lindfield: Rear 265 Pacific Highway, Lindfield

First day of a sixteen week DBT skills group for adolescents, covering:

  • Mindfulness skills
  • Emotional Regulation skills
  • Distress Tolerance skills
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills
  • Communication Skills

If you live or attend school in Northern Sydney, are between 13 & 17 years of age and have mild to moderate mental health concerns you are eligible to attend. The program is free, but you will need a referral from your GP (referral form to take to your GP found HERE ).

(Funding for groups is provided by Sydney North Primary Health Network. KYDS is working alongside LifeLine Harbour-to-Hawkesbury to deliver the teen-specific groups.)

March 25 – Bobbin Head Cycle Classic from 6am

Karuah Oval, Turramurra to Bobbin Head Return, and various points all around and in between!

Fantastic community fundraising event. Ride or volunteer and help raise much-needed funds for KYDS, LifeLine, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter and Rotary Projects:

  • Beautiful scenery and locations
  • Choice of rides from 27km to 104km
  • Range of volunteer shifts (2 – 4 hours) and locations
  • Individuals, social groups, corporate teams welcome
  • Fully supported
  • A great day out for all involved
